tracer2215rn mppt controller

Having a brain fart today can I connect two 100w 12 volt panels in series to get 24 volts will this controller down convert to a 12 volt battery (actually 2 6volt golf cart batteries in series) and use the extra voltage for more current ??? or should I just leave it in parrell and forget it

    from what i was able to glean from the spec's, YES it will work, but know that the MPPT will not have any 'spare current', when it is charging all the 'excess' will be going into the batteries.

    what would you do :confused:I am trying to increase my harvest.Iam in the Pacific north west where it tends to rain and be cloudy once i n a while .:D thanks for your reply

    Reconfiguring two 100 Watt panels from a 12 Volt to a 24 Volt array will not result in any significant increase in power output. If you need more power you need more panel.
