Plastic sheeting for battery box liner?

I am building a vented compartment for my batteries inside my shed. I would like to line it with plastic sheeting that is not affected by the battery acid or the fumes. I remember an episode of breaking bad where they needed a container to dispose of a body but can't remember what kind of plastic it was. Anyone??

Polyethylene sheeting, which is very common, is excellent as well. You could use the 6 mil sheeting used as a vapor barrier in houses, which is polyethylene.

You can use 6 mill. Poly for a box liner ? GREAT ! I just picked up a roll 16 feet wide for vapor barrier - cheap to buy too . Stuff is cheap enough, I can put in 3 layers....

Best thing I've found is Pond Liner. A local community replaced the liner on their golf course pond and we scored a trailer load of the old stuff. 30 mil - tough but not too stiff where it can still be folded in the corners of a battery box so as to have no seams. Don't know where to officially buy it though.

HD and Lowes usually carry the liner. Another source is roofing supply places - they'll sell it as EPDM roofing material.
