Trace C30 charge controller

To anyone,

i was told that inside the Trace C30 at the center of the board there is a small jumper that is set for charging lead acid batteries. In order to charge Ni Cads you have to "cut" the jumper. there is also "NiCad" written on the board next to the jumper.

would anyone be able to verify that this is the method to set the TRace up to charge Ni Cads.
