5x5 and 6x6 cells

There are panels with 5x5 and 6x6 cells on the market. Panels with 5x5 cells look a little bit cheaper and frequently can be found on sale.
With 5x5 cell panels, you can fit more cells on the same panel, so voltages are naturally higher and more difficult to fit to the controller. With higher voltages, you need to go with shorter strings, so you need more cables and breakers in the combiner boxes. That's certainly a disadvantage of 5x5 cells.
Are there any other disadvantages? Or are they just as good as 6x6? If they are, why are they cheaper?
