Enecsys monitoring

Hello,
I have a simple labview program to direct monitor enecsys data directly from the gateway.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8EpqYS_6MMDaE5qYnc1dFBKSk0/edit?usp=sharing

It is neccesary to download and install the National Instruments LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 2011 SP1 - (32-bit Standard RTE) - National Instruments. http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2897/lang/es.

It also has the option to upload data to pvoutput.org.

I hope it will be usefull.

Regards
Miguel

    Hello,

I have new versions of software for monitoring micro inverters:

    Enecsys monitoring live data

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8EpqYS_6MMDY1hrelZab0pOa2M/edit?usp=sharing

Another version for sending data to Pvoutput.org in groups of inverters.

    Also for Greenstar ECU microInverter

    Miguel,

Your google drive is not setup for public sharing of your documents... I cannot read them.

    Hi Miguel,
I found your post on Enecsys monitoring. The recent news about the bankruptcy of Enecsys, and doubt on the continuation of the monitoring platform, has renewed activities on the development of 3rd party monitoring for Enecsys.
I tested your application, and it worked for me. I was curious how you developed your code for decoding the inverter datagrams. Did you base it on the perl scripts that I previously published on other fora? Are you willing to share your LabView source code? I was hoping we could learn something about the way you approached this code, and use this in other programs and platforms as well.
    Best,

    Martijn

    Hi,

we made a cloud service for monitoring. Just configure your gateway to point to: freemonitor.dataservices.solar

You can see the logged data on www.dataservices.solar

A web interface abd REST API will follow soon.

    Hi Miguel,
The Enecsys monitoring system in the uk is not working properly so I tried downloading your program including the Lab View one but when I try running your program it says it cannot find the run time engine. I would be grateful if you can include some specific instructions on how to use your program.

When you use labvieuw first change the ip adres in that from the enecsys gateway. Then place the api key from pvoutput and your personal account number. Make a map in native instruments with the date. i made 2015 an in this the day/ipadres.dat then it must work when the enecsys are active in the day. When all is working you see the parameters changes in the inverters.

    Hello,

Can you show me how to get the labview get to work with my Enecsys inverters ?
I changed the IP adres in the IP from the gateway but i do not understand what a api key is or where to get it from.

I'm from Belgium and speak Dutch, you can send me a email if you want.

    Hi,

I use this software and it works.
I have one question i have 5 inverters and the software sees them but one the tabe inverters there is one number thats not corresponding with my numbers.
    How is that possible?

    regards,

I guess I do not understand the spread sheet... DC Power and DC Energy--What exactly are those?

DC Volts and DC Current do not multiply out to 3xx watts.

The temperature on the unit is stable... I would suspect if the actual power was varying over time, that the reported temperature would be varying too (although, they have 0.xxx decimal points for many values, the actual reported "data chunks" are 50 Hz/49Hz/etc... So, for something like temperature, I don't know what the next degree up or down resolution is (1 degree, 5 degree, etc.)?

I would certainly send that image to your support person and ask them. Something is not right. With a clear sky, you should not see that large of variation. However, if there are any clouds/dust/smoke drifting by--Yes, you can see a 50% variation in output very easily. Note that if you are just looking out the window--a 50% change in solar isolation would barely be noticeable (or even easily missed).

Do you see the same variation in other inverters on the same array? Are they tracking in time (same time, same variation in output?). Is this the only inverter doing this? Are other doing this and they are not sync'ed in time?

I haven't a clue... I am just a volunteer moderator here. I am not in the solar business at all.

    Hi Miguel

Your Labview prog is great. Well done. I have some questions:
    1. The inverters in the summary view keep changing around. Can this be avoided as it is very confusing.
    2. The log produced contains a lot of data. How can I extract energy per inverter per hour, for example.
    3. The total DC Power meter shows 750 max. My system is 3KW. (digital readout is fine). Can this reflect the actual Max?
    4. Is it possible to customise the prog?
    5. The IP address is lost when the prog is closed. Can this be saved?
    6. Can this prog be made to run on a Mac?
    Thank you.

I support Pierre's comments and had the same questions plus the following:

    * Allow the output log be changed to another folder as I regularly empty my Temp Folder.
    * Set the output log also be saved as a .csv for use with Excel
    * As per Pierre's perhaps a Save option could be the answer for preserving settings for local monitoring?

Keep up the great work Miguel .

    I use www.enecsysoutput.com
    A good alternative I believe.
