But the article, from USSolar, features the Outback Flexpower line of grid interactive battery based systems. A good option when POCO is unreliable, but definitely not the most economical way to introduce PV to replace or supplement conventional grid generation, which seems to be the main point of the article.

Pardon my cynicism, but this article looks to be more about USSI marketing their services and equipment than giving Jamaica anything.
