Nanostructures triple organic solar cells efficiency

Princeton researchers have found a simple and economic way to nearly triple the efficiency of organic solar cells, the cheap and flexible plastic devices that many scientists believe could be the future of solar power.

    that may very well be, but even if it didn't and works as they say, it would be very expensive to add that 175% extra production with the addition of gold into the pv and would more than likely put the costs well over what a monocrystalline pv would cost and it wouldn't output quite as much as that mono pv either.
