115mph on top of 4x4 posts? Have a look at the 100mph rated steel racking in my signature.

I saw your setup - VERY impressive! $$$
I'm building it to code by my towns "rules". There seems to be a huge difference from area to area and certainly west coast installs to the north east where I am. I never had a 115mph wind at my home but that is the code to meet. My building inspector said he will approve it with 4x4 posts as long has it is all bolted through the wood. The posts only need to be 48" in the ground in a 8" diameter sonnet tube. 42" is where the frost line get's to in the worst of winters - I have never seen more than a 12" - 18" of frost though.
I may in the end just go with the full rack using sched 40 3" pipe instead of the wood - I just need to price out the difference. Since my post and a few other comments at other places - I am starting to lean toward 3" pipe.

Just a rough guestimate on the cost of the steel racking in my system...maybe $15K of the 80K cost. That includes fabrication and installation.

    So basically
    $7212 for inverters and
    $2691 for racking system

Which is around 70Cents/watt for enphase inverters and
25 cetns a watt for racking system. with NO base.

Those prices are average. Historically they are very good prices, but nothing jaw dropping.

I am picking up 10KW of panels today at 91 cents a watt
I saw some clearance ones via email for 69cents a watt last week, now that is a good price. too bad I had my ground mount system already sized and being delivered.

Yeah, good price. My project was contracted in 2009 for completion in 2010. I was lucky then to talk the installer down to $4.00 per watt. Times change. So do programs. Our microFIT would never get ok-ed now, only roof mounts for the program (which was the original intent...the authorities said yes to ground mounts and forgot all the farmers with easy access to credit and lots of place to put little system
