Uneven wire lengths, problem?

I'm currently putting the pieces together for a single panel system for my camping trip next week and my question is does it matter if the positive and negative wires from the solar panel to the charge controller are different lengths? I happen to have one long and one short wire right now but I don't want to cut down the longer wire because eventually I will be setting up this panel at home and then I will need the extra wire length.

Nope. Not a problem.
Different length wires only matter when in a parallel circuit, not a single circuit. It all adds up to the same resistance on one path. -
