Tri Pod Tower

Just sitting here with the flicker of the big corporate monsters making nice flicker shadows on my cookstove, thinkig that any successful project begins at the ground.
#1 I don't have a big enuf tube to make a tower like the taxeaters use.
#2 Guyed poles, not if it's gonna fail but when.
#3. Strong, Dependable, Simple. Build a tripod?
Dollar/strong can't be beat.
$1000 storebought tower generator has to be lite weight, chinsey, and swept area has to be so small it's only gonna make good power in a wind storm.
3 telephone poles?
3 sticks of 4 or 6 inch pipe?
3 H beams?
Now my 10 kW generator and 15-1 gearbox looks like the way to go.
Any body got an old prop off a dc-10 laying around? Shoulda taken that one when George offered it to me. Maybe an old Flint Walling or Aeromotor?
