Connection Help

Hello. I'm new and have a question. I have a Hqrp 60 watt mono solar panel that has Mc4 connectors on them. I also own a Sunforce 7 amp charge controller. My question is : how do I hook the two together. Would I be better off purchasing a Hqrp charge controller ? If so, how do I connect the two ? ( I do plan on adding more panels ) Also, I know the gauge is different between the sunforce charger and the panel itself.

Re: Connection Help
Welcome to the forum.
The usual way of hooking up a panel with MC4 connectors is to buy an extension cable:

Then cut it in half. This gives you two pieces with MC4 connector on one end (one + and one -) and a plain piece of wire at the other that can be spliced to more wire or attached to screw terminals, et cetera.
If you add more panels you'll have to change a lot because your 7 Amp controller won't handle more than one of those panels. -
Re: Connection Help
Thank you. That makes perfect sense.
