Duke doesn't really have any solar incentives:

except it buys back REC's. (actually just found it no longer buys residential srecs) just net metering.
Progress has two solar rebates one for Carolinas one for Florida:

I wonder if the solar rebates will extended to the new areas or if Duke will ax them?
I hope they are extended to South Indiana and SW Ohio as well as the Carolinas, but I have a feeling that they won't be.
This might be the last year the Progress offers the solar rebate so if you live in Florida I wouldn't wait.

Re: Duke Energy and Progress Energy to Merge what will happend to solar program?
This article seems to suggest Duke is not in favor of residential rebate programs

I talked to someone at Progress today and they said their solar programs are unlikely to be affected because their utility commissions already agreed to the programs and the time lines. He said some of the funding came from a 65 cents fee to all customers, so that money earmarked must be used.
This Progress employee said that come Jan 2012 he should know more. -

I sure hope the Progress rebates/incentives are kept. Progress pays $1000 upfront per kW for new solar installs and I would hate for that not to be available within the next year or two (when I'll hopefully be putting a system in).
