Powerpack 1500

Options
I picked up a Xantrex powerpack 1500 - on wheels.

I want to use it while I get my PV system running - for lights

It seems light on ah so want to add an external battery.

What size battery can I use? I think it presently has about a 60ah agm battery.

Do I have to use an AGM or can I use a lead acid deep cycle?

thanks!

I know the external battery must be charged separately on its own.

Stay with the same chemistry as it's original battery - AGM is the most likely, That's what the charger is set for, but larger batteries will need more time to charge. If you add a solar panel, you will also need a charge controller for the panel too, unless you are clever enough to figure how to use the internal one.
