Picked up a new washer and dryer this past week.

Purchased a Whirlpool Duet 9200 series washing machine and electric dryer. Washing machine is incredibly quiet and energy star rated. I'll be getting a $35.00 rebate from the gas company.

Electric dryer is an electric pig. I'm seeing 5800W on my TED when the heating elements are on. However, that's the purpose. To chew up my surplus of solar energy that I've generated. I'm presently over 500kWh on the plus side and I wish to make that closer to zero...

Time will tell on the usage.

SWMBO loves them and my gas bill will go down, and I suspect my water bill may go down too......

That 500KWH on the plus side, is going to get eaten up in the short winter months, unless you already have a year history, and know what your annual production is.
