I'm going to say yes. The pump will draw what it needs from the panel. As long as you have good sun on the panel the voltage shouldn't collapse.1 · -

The biggest advantage I think is the ability to safely measure much higher current. Most DVM's have a 10 amp limit. There are some that do 20 amps.1 ·
