Re: New to solar and this site and a little problem to solve with my generator
Are you reading your AC voltage from L1 to L2, L2 to L3, and L3 to L1? Or you are you measuring from Neutral to L1/L2/L3? Do you have a Link/wiring diagram for the genset? -Bill1 · -
Re: Parallel with SLIGHTLY different Voltage
A 60 Cell panel would be Vmp~30 volts. Vmp-cell is roughly 0.5 volts per cell... times X cells in series gives you Vmp-panel The difference in current between Imp and Isc is something like 10% more c…1 · -
Re: Internal panel amperage
If you have a PWM charge controller, mixing 16 and 20 Volt (Vmp?) panels is not going to hurt anything. ~16 volt Vmp panels are typically 32 cell panels, not the "normal" ~18 volt Vmp 36 ce…2 · -
Re: New to solar and this site and a little problem to solve with my generator
Those appear to VAC readings, not Hz... A 1,500 or 3,000 RPM genset would have to run at ~6x normal RPM (9,000 or 18,000 RPM) to generate ~300 Hz. A 50 Hz genset running at that RPM would not be long…1 · -
Re: Is it fine to solder ferrules to wire?
The heat causing solder to melt will not be from "ambient" (room/roof/etc.) temperatures, it will be from some sort of fault condition (overcurrent, corroded connection getting hot, vibrati…1 ·
