we are establishing a Hybrid (Solar + Diesel) Power System at one of our Commercial locations in the Caribbean and would like to get some advice on the most cost effective technology to use for Battery Storage.
The requirement is for a total of about 250kW at 600VDC.
any advice would be welcomed.

You are going to need to hire an electrical engineer to set this up. it's way larger and the 600V is far above the standard gear used by 99% of the regulars on this forum.

Well it depends on how you define cost effective. FLA is the old standby around here, but LiFePo4, and sodium ion are new comers with a lot of promise. Its possible to demonstrate better return on investment from lithium for instance depending on whose numbers you use, what your freight deal is, and how you cost maintenance.

For bigger systems like the one you are proposign lithium has further advantages, that the production is generally very uniform slash binning to a high level such that parallelling of cells is a lot more reliable than with lead. If it was me in your shoes id definately be taking a serious look at these new technologies.
