Generator input transfer switch

I'm working on the AC input to my system and was looking at this transfer switch.

My generator puts out 48A, so am I right in assuming this will be OK. My plan is to run AC from the main panel to this switch as well as generator input. Will I also need a 60A breaker between the TX switch and the Inverter/charger?

Thanks

If you have an inverter/charger you shouldn't need a transfer switch. I can't speak for all of them, but any good one has a switch built in; when it detects AC on the 'GEN IN' terminals it will automatically switch the loads to this and switch its operation to charge. You will need circuit protection on the gen feed, but almost all generators have breakers built-in to handle any over-current.

If you could supply a bit more info as two the make & model of the generator and inverter/charger we could tell you for sure. Chances are no matter what you've got, someone around here has had experience with it! :D
