Any potential in this motor?

I have a Bodine Electric Company DC gearmotor. I'm wondering if it has any potential to be used as a generator on a wind turbine. The gear box can be taken off, leaving just the motor.

Specs on the name plate:

Type: 42X5BEPM-E3
No.: T0487056
Volts: 130
Amps: 1.8 DC
HP: 1/4
Duty: Cont.
Ins: A Amb: 40 c
Torq: 135 in/lb
RPM: 33
Ratio: 30/1

Just for grins, I turned it with a drill and measured the voltage: 150 volts at 3,000 RPM, 20 volts at 600 RPM.

Unfortunately, as a gearmotor component, the shaft is a short, small helical gear, and so it would require quite a bit of screwing around to make it suitable for mounting a hub for blades...

Any potential here?

    Problem is the end bearings. Wind loads can just beat them to death, maybe using a shaft & pillow & thrust bearings, with the prop on it, and a toothed belt (non-slip) can unload the motor bearings.

    What is the RPM of the motor only???

    I have a 90V 1750RPM that I had to do a 3:1 overdrive to get it to work.

    Well, at 33 rpm at the output and 30/1 ratio it would be 990 rpm, right? I've given up on it already - seems like the wrong item in several different ways... And I don't have any place to erect a windmill anyway :-).

    What range of speed (rpm) do the rotors on say, 6' diameter wind turbines normally turn?

    I think most look for 200-500 RPMs at the hub.
