How many inverters?

Goodmorning everyone,
I want to install a solar pv system here in the Netherlands. I'm wondering though what will give me the best efficiency for my situation. I'm tied to the grid through a 3 phase connections, each phase capable of handling 5500W.
I would like to install a system of around 4000Wp. Is it more efficient to install this on 1 phase, or would a 2 phase system be more efficient?

    Dag jantje,

Efficiency won't be affected whether you connect to 1 phase or 3 phase. The only concern would be the limits that your electrical provider places. For example in Germany you can't have more than 5kW difference between phases. The netherlands might have similar regulations.

The other variable is cost. With 2 or 3 phases you would usually have to buy 2 or 3 inverters which would cost more than a single inverter of triple the capacity. There are currently some three phase inverters available, but unless you really can't connect 4kW single phase, they're not really an economical option.
