    It is possible--But VFDs should usually be mounted closely to the motor (if possible)--The electrical output is a modified square wave and can cause "ringing" in the wiring and motor.

    Also, VFDs are usually programmed for the attached motor and type of loads (RPM, startup and shutdown, etc.). You may end up needing to reprogram for the different loads.

    I am certainly no VFD expert--Do you have a local supplier that can help you select the proper VFD (and motors) for your application?
