Energy predictions for 2015

The article in the link has utility predictions for this year. Anyone see any of this happening? I am still looking (7 years now) for a smart grid mini split and an inverter to run it.

    Here is another hopeful solution. It still is not smart enough to know how the solar source is doing minute by minute with the load unattended.

    My prediction is utility consumption will increase 18% due to the rate of electric cars purchased, while 10% of overall consumption is reduced via LED lighting, energy efficient refrigerators, and variable speed pool pumps, and hot tub heaters.
    That means we will see an increase in consumption up 8%.
    Doesn't matter with my clients that are solar though my average system is overproducing by 14%.
