L-16 Trojan batts. life expectancy???

I have 24 of the above and was wondering if anyone has experience with how long they lasted. some of mine are nearing 5 years. I try to keep charge above 80 per cent most of the time.

Any advice would be appreciated.

My neighbour had a string of 6. 5 of them went 8 years,, full time off grid, He ran a sting of 4 for another year, then gave them to me. I ran that string for another year part time, and two of them have faile,, 1 in year 9, 1 in year ten. Two of them are still going strong.

Assuming good maintenance protocols, a cool environment, and shallow discharges, I would expect for you to see several more years of good service from your batteries. Trojan now provides a seven year warranty (two years + five years) for their "RE" batteries used in RE applications.
