Hey all -

I was wondering what, if any, real world issues would happen with a slight mismatch of one panel. They are the same size and type of silicon, different manufacturers.  In a perfect world I would not do this, so please no scolding me. Just want real world thoughts.

The existing panel is
290W
Vmp 32.1v
Imp 9.05a
Voc 38.8v
Isc 9.58a

Panel I have easy access to is

275W
Vmp 31.5v
Imp 8.74a
Voc 38.6v
Isc 9.28a

Yes I know I will be brought to the lowest common denominator, but they seem close enough ???

Yes, they should be close enough... If Vmp and Imp between the two panels is within 5%, that is pretty close to "identical".

If the two panels are within 10% for Vmp/Imp, they will still work OK.

In general, match Vmp for parallel connections (or Vmp-strings for multi-panel strings) or match Imp for series connected panels.
