Addition of Extra PLC between VFd and pump

I need to add an extra PLC between VFD and pump. Can anyone help me with this? If possible I love to read about this in details.

    What do you want the PLC to do? Many VFDs have some pretty interesting programmability themselves (from what little I have read). And AUX inputs/outputs.
