Absorption cycle from grid

Trying to understand why the battery bank read 25.8 amps at 6:00am and then received a couple minute absorption time from the grid then went back to acpassthru?
4.5kw 24v System
18 Solartec 250w polycrystalline panels
Xantrex XW4024 Inverter/Charger
Conext MPPT 80-600 Charge Controller
12 Trojan L16G-AC 20 hour 390ah batteries tied in 3 strings at 1170ah total

    Could you describe your system in more detail, as I'm reading grid and AC pass through in an off grid section. Is the reference to 25.8 amps actually voltage? Without details is a guessing game. Is this a grid tied battery backup system? 
    1500W, 6× Schutten 250W Poly panels , Schneider MPPT 60 150 CC, Schneider SW 2524 inverter, 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Battery Bodyguard BMS 
    Second system 1890W  3 × 300W No name brand poly, 3×330 Sunsolar Poly panels, Morningstar TS 60 PWM controller, no name 2000W inverter 400Ah LFP 24V nominal battery with Daly BMS, used for water pumping and day time air conditioning.  
    5Kw Yanmar clone single cylinder air cooled diesel generator for rare emergency charging and welding.

    Sorry, yes grid tied with battery backup. 25.8is actual voltage. 18 250w panels 80 600 Conext CC and Xantrax 4024 inverter/CC. Probably posted in wrong section lol.

    In that case the battery would have been almost fully charged, the brief charge would, in most likelihood, be a topping off of self discharge overnight, as 6:00am is before any realistic solar input would be available. Just my take on on things, given the details provided.

    Just so weird to do that given recharge volts are 25v

    Perhaps there is a daily  system check, which is a default, I know Morningstar has such a feature, but this is only speculation. You could always ask tech support, they may provide some insight.
