Breakers

I was wondering if a 150 VDC breaker rated at 60 amps will work for a 48 volt system with 56.7 volts maximum and still interrupt the circuit at 60 amps even though that is well below the rated voltage. Does it strictly trip at the amps rating or does that change as the voltage changes as long as you stay below the maximum voltage?"

Yes, the breaker trips on current (amps) alone. The higher voltage rating on the breaker is fine.
    Off-grid.

Thank you. That is what I thought I remembered from years ago, but it's been a lot of years.
