Ran into this on Facebook.  It sounds legit, but like LiPO, may be more hype than fact.  What do you guys know and think about these?  Are they another snake oil battery technology, or do they have some potential?

    Same POTential, I like that.

2.1 Kw Suntech 175 mono, Classic 200, Trace SW 4024 ( 15 years old  but brand new out of sealed factory box Jan. 2015), Bogart Tri-metric,  460 Ah. 24 volt LiFePo4 battery bank. Plenty of Baja Sea of Cortez sunshine.

The hemp is converted into activated charcoal (carbon). There are the old drycells (carbon/zinc/etc.) and there are now Carbon/Carbon and just saw a Carbon Foam battery. The Carbon/Carbon, have always been just in the future (for many years now). The carbon foam--I did not bother looking up anything other than a youtube video (perfect for sailing/off grid.......).

They can take many types of organics (like rice husks) and convert to carbon.
