vt, you're right, they are indeed Watermisers. To build my insert, I used one of the original battery caps. Didn't want to take a chance on the Watermiser's. Scroll to the original post to see.

An Update on the NTC Thermistor Part Number at Mouser:

Just ran a Resistance vs displayed temperature for a Classic CC BTS.  The following part number appears to be a very good Curve Fit:

    http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/EPCOS-TDK/B57871S103F1/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMuBd0%2bwiCVS294ahU8xLN7tvHCHNluAMOI=

    This part has a  ' 3988K ' curve and is still 10 K ohms at 25 C.

Have not run the curve for the Outback RTS,  BUT,  it might well need a different curve 10  K NTC Thermistor.

    Good Luck,   Vic

The MidNite and Outback BTS use the same curve and are indeed both 10K

Vic, thanks very much for your continued effort in helping to bring this project to a more technologically advanced and safe conclusion. Also, thanks to all other contributors and participants.

I think those of us that want to pursue this project now have the appropriate information to do so.

BTW, I'm ordering the glass vials and thermistors using the above posted links. Thanks guys for making this easier to us "solar techno impaired" individuals.

    Hi Ryan,

    Thanks!

In another Thread,  I did note that the OB RTS did appear to be identical to the MN BTS ...  had seen you and boB mention that either here or on the MN Forum,  but had  trouble finding that in a Search.

Thank you very much!     73,    Vic
