Hi Guys,
I'm coming in late to a solar system project that was installed a couple years back at the cottage.  I have attached 2 diagrams , one titled "Wolf Lake" is our current setup using 4 Rolls Surrette 6 volt  400AH batteries.

The other is how the manufacturer recommends hooking them up.....I'm looking for feedback on if our current setup is so wrong that its only using 2 of the 4 batteries ?

  Thanks very much

Something doesn't look right on the first drawing: both outer batteries are not contributing anything because one of their pole is not connected anywhere. The 2 wires connected to the same side of those batteries are electrically connected to each other. The output of that bank is 12V at 400 Ah.

The second picture is the way to go.

    Cheers!
