Highly Programmable Controller

Options
I'm working on a project where I need to use a non standard number of cells. I am hoping someone could tell me what are some of the most highly customizable small charge controllers. I'm working with one 240 watt panel and I would like the battery voltage to be around 36 volts.

Thanks

Welcome. I am not sure how 'custom' your needs are but if the project will not use more panels later on, I would look at the MidNIte KID , handles 30A and very programmable. If that is not enough them look at the MidNite Classic www.MidNitesolar.com

It will always be the one panel. Those are quite a bit bigger than I need.

that panel may not be enough to fully charge a 36V battery. A 12 V need 17-18V to get fully charged... so a 36V battery will need ~ 51V to 54V.

Here is a link to some info on batteries and scroll down to charging http://www.solar-electric.com/deep-cycle-battery-faq.html/#Battery%20Charging
