Ran across this in my news feed. Not sure if it's already been posted, but here it is if not. Not sure what the benefit of this is, but it sounds interesting.

    Who cares its just another solyndra. The printable solar cell has been in R&D since 2007, and all they have to offer is printable plastic cells?
    When the barrier for conversion efficiency reaches 35~40% conversion then I would be interested, until then its no different than organic solar cells at 5% conversion efficiency, or a back yard experiment using red LED lights, or aluminum foil converted to aluminum oxides, and Titanium dioxides as base elements.
    Sure its a step forward in useless technology which is 2 steps back for higher efficiency, instead of one step forward.
