Home made Panel Mount question

Is it easy to make a home made fixed panel mount by using a large diameter (1.5") galvanized pole(pipe) and rigging some type of attachment brace, maybe some angle iron? I've never closely inspect a soler panel mount before so I don't know how the pole attaches to the panel. The single panel (KC65T) I have in mind is small and only 18lbs and 30inx26in in size. It will mounted about 5feet or so above the ground.

Pole mounts are expensive...

Thanks,..

    Panels are expensive too !
Depending on how "crafty" you are, (machineman - ought to be pretty crafty) just building a simple framework for a single panel should not be too bad. However you build it, plan on wind some day, trying to use the panel as a sail to uproot the pole. Nothing should move enough to break anything.
