what's the lowest wall mounting height for sma 5kw inverter in garage?

the wire is a couple of feet short and I'd just like to lower them a couple of feet. , about 2 feet off the floor,

but maybe there is some NEC rule that says you can't do that?

i always see them mounted at eye level

    The SMA manual (p.27) says a minimum of 36 inches from the bottom of the DC disconnect to the floor unless more clearance is stipulated by 110.26 of the NEC. A cursory glance at 110.26 does not reveal anything to me that would change that, so I'd say 36 inches.

    i called sma, and they said as long as you have good air flow you can mount them where you want
    the 36" is only required for outside where sprinklers and other environmental factors require higher mounting.

    There is a requirement in the IRC for ignition sources to be at 18" off the garage floor. If it is a commercial garage then there other restrictions.
