    The problem is that after the twenty second ad, there is a segue to another twenty second ad, and the second one seems to be stuck. Clicking to go directly to the mag doesn't work, and the second ad timer goes into negative seconds remaining.

    I had my browser set to reject cookies. Maybe I will try accepting them and see what happens.

    P.S. Yep! That did the trick.

    "Vref" is the reference voltage for your error amplifier (which is represented by that little circle). The role of the error amplifier is to produce an output that, when processed by the subsequent circuitry, will cause Vf (your feedback voltage) to equal Vref ... so, the error amplifier is doing whatever it needs to do (at its output) to make its two inputs equal.

    Vref may be constant or variable. In a power supply with a regulated output, for example, Vref is commonly held constant at 1.25v, and Vf (obtained from a divider on the output of the supply) will also be 1.25v when the output of the supply is at its regulated value. If Vf is greater or less than 1.25v, the error amplifier causes the power supply to readjust its output so that Vf once again equals 1.25v.

    When used with MPPT, Vref will be the product of your tracking algorithm. As such, it will constantly be changing as the location of the power point on the array's power curve changes.

    Hi Solar Guppy,

    i am working in solar inverter project. i am understanding a bit about the MPPT and the control electronics. i studied the hill climbing and the Incond algorithms, but struck up in how to implement this algorithm in the real time applications. i am a mechanical engineer, because of renewable energy interest i am doing this. can you help me in this regard? also please post the pdf thesis file once again since that was not opening??

    I just tried the link and it still works ...

    That a big leap going from mechanical engineering to power electronics and firmware design. Just an observation that i've worked at a few well know company and their design staff's are masters and phd's in these fields and it is challenging for these folks ... something to keep in mind

    Probably easier than rocket science as you get to use modern available components. You need a PHD in rocket science to be able to find an LM108, LM118 or the 2N2222 that has been up screened to S level. Talk about prices and only the NSA and the guy's in the windowless white vans can afford it.

    And after all this, they still blow up!
