Replacement for Silicon as sealer?

I have read in this forum that Silicon sealant does not protect against moisture vapor. What can be used in place of it? 3M 3000WT and Locktite PL have sealant in tubes that do not mention containing silicon. Are these suitable, if not, what can be used to seal the glass to an aluminum frame and in between the frame corners?

I've had good results with "Marine Goop". Very strong and flexible. Dried product is similar in ways to silicone, but I find much tougher. Comes in a tooth paste like tube, or is also available in a calking gun style cartridge. Dries clear.

3M 5200 even works underwater. Check any marine supply house, they know what works.

Of those mentioned in the above threads, I've use NP1 -- highly recommended

The PL Polyurethane sealant appears to be the same chemistry as the NP1, and seems to be more available in mainstream distribution.
