Shucks, looks like if you enable 120V genset charging, you loose 240V output loads, that won't make my well pump happy. Maybe I'll just get a 2KW 120-240 step up transformer and charge via that ? Limit the XW charge to what the little genset can manage.

    Re: XW single phase conversion

Seems they have chosen a route to give full inverter rated power at 120vac. They appear to be strapping the two transformer secondary windings into a parallel configuration instead of the original 240vac series configuration.

It would seem that a software mod could be done to give 120 vac generator AC2 capabilty, be it a a lower maximum power level, similar to the L1 to neutral or L2 to neutral output loading power limitation on original 240vac unit, and still keep the 240 vac AC1 grid-in and ACout capability.

I don't think that will work RC. I seem to remember the XW not liking poor balance and sending out lot's of errors to the SCP. It is nice to have over 50 amps at 120VAC but you can't do the 240V thing anymore.

Mike, buying the input transformer is the route I would go for a short term fix! Be sure and limit your load in xw config that the charger can draw or you will be popping the gen breaker.
