Have been following the discussion on 'wierd SGs on Surrette" batteries, but thought that this belonged in another thread.

When buying my batteries in 2005, recall that the Dry weight for 4KS25s was 271 Lbs, and 318 Lbs wet. The current data sheet says 220 Lbs dry, 315 Wet. I did once ask Surrette Tech if the amount of active material had been reduced in these newer batteries, but the tech 'did not know'.

I had the old data sheet in a retired computer, but that is gone now. Does anyone here have the dry vs wet weights for 4KS25 circa 2005 ?

Regarding Surreette's warranty, One of my batteries was damaged in shipment. The Jar of one battery had a split along the top weld of the Jar to the top -- a VERY VERY ROUGH ride to CA via Roadkill errr Roadway freight. Surrette glady sent a replacement dry (unacitvated) cell based only on my word. So far, I'm happy with my Surrette batteries.
