How to build a dc/dc boost converter for grid connected using solar energy

Hi,

Does anyone know how to build a dc/dc boost converter? What are the parameters to consider? My desired Vout=230Vdc and my Vin =12Vdc

Please kindly help.Thank you

    The question is just too vague...

    You would be better off characterizing the source, the loads, and the requirements--then find a topology that works for your needs.

    There are many ways of boosting voltage--and each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

    Solarmanics. The simplest way to do what you want is just use an inverter 12v DC in 230V AC out then rectify the output to DC. Just pick what size inverter you need by the watts you want.. Its not too vague a question:D

    Careful, rectified 230vac is ~380V dc
