Has anyone used the solar roofing tiles? Besides regular solar panels, we were thinking of putting up some solar roofing tiles on a new screen porch we may be building. Any recommendations or types to stay away from? Looking for the best price and quality. We would install them ourselves. Thanks:D

    The problem with this type, is a warranty claim. You will need to rip a good portion of roofing off to get it off. Plus, the cost is 1.5X over normal panels.

    let's not overlook the efficiency differences as the roofing type is not as efficient.

    that shingle type is more of a compromise for asthetics than function.
