Shading question

I mounting several panels on top of my RV, there are a few boxes mounted up there like Fans & AC's.

the max height is 11 inches, about how far away to try and stay out of the shadow would you estimate I mount the panels ( they are going to be 2" high with mounting brackets so the net height will be 9"
