Two 12v 100 AH battery's wired parallel. Total of 12v 200AH deep cycled to 50% gives you 100 usable AH.

Two 6v 100AH batterys wired series. Total of 12v 100Ah deep cycled to 50% gives you 50 usable AH.
Just want to make sure im figuring correct.

    Yes--You are correct.

However, size wise, a 12 volt ~100 AH battery is about the same size/weight as a 6 volt ~ 200 AH battery (aka "golf cat" battery).

So--A typical Apple to Apple comparison would be 2x 12 volt @ 100 AH batteries in parallel vs 2x 6 volt @ 200 AH batteries in series... Both give you a 12 volt @ 200 AH battery bank.

Also, I suggest that a 2x 6 volt @ 200 AH series connected battery bank is "better" than 2x 12 volt batteries in parallel. 1/2 the number of cells to check/water. Also, it is easier to make sure the battery bank is working "right" with a simple volt meter check.

The series batteries will each have their own operating voltage. When you have 2x 12 volt batteries in parallel--A voltage reading does not really tell you the health of the individual batteries.
