Curious how does the remote function work and possible uses

    I can't find the Mfg or part number--But as a guess... I have used remote breakers before as an emergency kill switch... For example, if the over temperature sensor hit the high limit in a telephone voicemail system, a small relay would close and energize a coil in the in the Breaker Body... That would then manual trip the breaker to off.

    One or more remote emergency off switches could be spread around a room / outbuilding, and if you see smoke or a fire--just punch the nearest button to trip off your main/branch power.

    There are probably different types out there--the one I used connected one end of the coil to the source power (If I recall correctly). So the trip wire/relay have to be rated for the correct voltage/current.

    Bill thanks for your reply Ive just bought 10 on ebay UK for $22.50 at that price even as two 80 amp dc cb they will find a home some where.
