more information on usp -> inverter please

I don't really need an inverter in my little camper solar setup, but since my ups in going into storage (I don't figure it will do real well not getting plugged in for months, years, ....) so I may as well consider using it. If someone can provide some more details on this, I would appreciate it.

I do have a little inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter bought when I had money and was into gadgets. Still into gadgets. Never tried it. No idea what it is. I'll find it while packing.

Maybe I'll get to kick back and watch a couple of DVDs on the wide screen laptop over the winter instead of getting back into reading all the time.

Looks like my setup will be:
Kyocera 65 watt panel
Deka 8A24 78 (larger if $$ available so can expand a little)
Steca Solsum 6.6 Amp (because of the LVD) or Morningstar ??
