Unproven tech trying to get proved: "Focus Fusion"

Options
I thought folks here would be interested to learn about our "Focus Fusion" effort, which is trying to achieve aneutronic (no neutron) fusion using a device called the dense plasma focus.

The good news is that this approach doesn't require any new physics, just novel applications of plasma physics and quantum mechanics. In March 2012 we published what would become the most read paper of the year in the journal Physics of Plasmas, which confirmed that our patented, inexpensive (<$1M) Focus Fusion-1 dense plasma focus has achieved the highest energy magnetic confinement of a fusion fuel ever, for any device. With this energy and confinement, we now have two of three criteria for scientific demonstration of net energy, and if we get the third (density) we will be on track to commercialize fusion energy within five years instead of fifty.

We're preparing to crowdfund the final year of our ongoing feasibility study--Visit our site for updates or to volunteer (just Google Lawrenceville Plasma Physics), or follow on Twitter @LPPX.

And of course we'll be happy to answer your questions here!
